As a teen mom in an abusive relationship, the support of local community programs was a necessity. I latched onto these programs & the wonderful people I met through them and was catapulted back on track to attend college, find a career job and be the best mom possible for my daughter.
Today, there are too many moms that don’t take time out for themselves and many who simply can’t afford to because of hardship.
One shoot at a time, I’m hoping to change that. Its a full circle moment today as I begin my self-care photo sessions for charity drive.
I’m gifting a solo self-care luxury photo session to a mother who is going through a particular financial, health, emotional or other compelling hardship.
Finding a Mom-in-Need
I asked for compelling story about a deserving mom you know. I was overwhelmed with the heartfelt nominations. I wanted to gift every single mom-in-need a photo session, but I only had the means to gift ONE session…until I went to my team to see if there way a way to do more…
With the help of my generous beauty team members Quendie Joy, Jane Mar & Emily Kim, I was able to gift TWO shoots for TWO deserving moms with compelling stories.
I’m excited to share their heartfelt stories, which I will do when I reveal their photos on my new blog in May 2024.

I define a mom in need as a mother of any age experiencing a compelling hardship related to finances, health, emotional trauma, domestic violence or other unfortunate compelling reason.
The mom in need must be a southern California resident.

This charity project created by Sachiko Studio will be shared on social media. We strongly advise that you discuss the nomination with the mother in need prior to submitting to ensure her agreement with the sharing of this testimonial & images in the event she is selected to win the photoshoot.
One nomination per person. Self nominations are accepted.
Photo session is not refundable for cash nor transferrable to another date or person. The session will be on a Tuesday-Thursday at Sachiko Studio, 125 E. Santa Clara St., Suite 6, Arcadia, CA 91006 during April 2024. Session can be rescheduled due to illness.
Photo Session is valued at $1,900 and includes an online styling consultation, professional hair & makeup, wardrobe, a 45 minute photo session in studio for the mom herself and a collection of 8 fully retouched high-resolution files to keep. In addition the session experience comes with in-studio beverages & snacks.

Yes. With the overwhelming nominations I received, I am planning on donating another shoot in the Fall.
Depending on how many cash shoots I can book, that will impact how many I can gift.

Yes, he’s welcome to join us for the Family Love photo session experience. He can arrive once you’re done with your beauty services if you like.

Yes of course! I supply a style guide with advice on what to bring. Borrowing from my curated collection is optional and you can bring your own and decide at the shoot if you want to borrow a dress.
Older generations of moms usually like to bring their own clothes.
I recommend to have the family stay in a specific color pattern, and to stray away from florals, or prints, which we’ll detail in the style guide.

Yes of course! The reschedule fee is $100. The latest date I can move your shoot to would be late May/early June. Availability is very limited and if a weekend is needed, I may only have 1 date option to choose from if any.
